IAA’s Engagement with The Academy of Europe
Secretary General Professor Wenwei Tu and Executive Committee Member Professor Jianguo Dai of the International Alliance of Academicians (IAA) were cordially invited to the First Asian-African-European Scholarly Dialogue, held in Hong Kong on April 8-9, 2026.
Organized by the Chinese Institute of Hong Kong, the China-Africa Institute, the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering of CityUHK, The Academy of Europe, and the China Green Building (Hong Kong) Council, this distinguished event aims to foster sustainable interdisciplinary collaboration and mutual understanding among scholars from Asia, Africa, and Europe.
At the welcome reception, Professor Tu and Professor Dai had the valuable opportunity to meet and exchange insights with Professor Donald Bruce Dingwell, President of Academia Europaea. Their discussions centered broadly on advancing cross-continental research collaboration and the role of academies in addressing global challenges.
Engagements such as these exemplify the International Alliance of Academicians (IAA)’s steadfast commitment to bridging diverse expertise and building impactful international partnerships. By facilitating high-level scholarly exchange, the IAA continues to strengthen the global research ecosystem and promote collaborative solutions to shared challenges.
